Mutoh Smart Chip Bypass

Hi All, I have recently aquired a VJ-1626UH UV Printer, im now in the process of repairing the errors and i am at a point where to go further i need to have ink cartridges installed, does anyone know a way that i can get around this so i can test further?
I am just getting (12356) S/C Read Err, it came with 5 **ECO-SOL Cleaning cartridges with it and a CYAN Cartridge, which i installed on the 4th slot, I just dont want to spend 800$ just to get new cartridges then find out that its going to be a boat anchor. does anyone offer a service where they can update the printer to bypass the smart chip?

You could change the charge flag in diagnostics to user/init: not charge and it would pump the cleaners through the system

Ive tried that aswell, but being ECO-SOL Cleaners im getting S/C Ink Err as well, allthough i have one UV Cleaning cartridge and that seems to read fine wherever i put it.

The other reasonably priced solutions are (1) Have Mutoh generate a ULK file which will let you run for 2 weeks without cards (free) or (2) buy smart cards from STS, Triange, Bordeaux or other 3rd party ink companies

Oh right, i will look into reaching out to mutoh tomorrow, but also looked into just getting the cards, and seems like digitalsigntech is the only one that does UV inks, hope i can get the ULK file first and figure out how to connect to the printer using MSA,
still having issues with the IP Settings not showing up in the menu as well (checked the menu options).

The newer Versions of MSA require secure passwords. MSM will do it.
If any items don’t show up in the menu, someone has turned off the asterisks in the Menu Option item in the menus

my menu options only goes up to 21 and none of them have the IP menus
20 All ON [ ]
21 All OFF [ ]

i notice on some of the research ive done, the IP options are around 24-25

Toggle the asterisk on in All on, then look in the Setup menu for IP Address

Yep tried that aswell,
Still wont show up, im not sure if i need to get through all the set up first before this shows up,
at the moment the machine is acting as if its brand new, as i think the electronics on it have been played with and swapped around another machine.

Just rang Mutoh here and apparently, they won't unlock the printer even for a short period. unlucky

so your printer is reading "Start Ink Charge ---> E ?

Yes, Ive tried adding the cartridges it came with (4 ECO SOL Cleaners, 1 UV Cleaning, 1 CYAN UV,) and i just get S/C Ink err, where ever i put the wrong ink in the wrong slots
Ive also tried updating this parameter to Init Not charge in the service mode. still need the correct inks
