Can I manually move the print head to the left, even though I am out of yellow ink? Or do I have to get a new cartridge first? If so, I have new cartridges, but they are 440mL instead of the 220mL that are in it. Can I put the big ones in one at a time or do I have to switch them all to the bigger cartridges at the same time?

You can manually move the head when ever you want. And yes 440s can be put in one at a time but since that machine doesn't officially support 440mL you may find that they do not empty all the way so you may have to trick it into using the last 50ml or so. A lot of people do use the 440mL carts but some do run into issues.
