Mutoh VJ1304 keeps margin 30mm on the left side

Hi everybody,

I am puzzled. I use 54” inch material. When I send a full width image (54") to be printed, the printer creates a white (un-printed) margin of 30mm on the left hand side. As a result I cannot utilize full width of the material. I tried two different RIP programs with same results. When the printer checks the material width, it correctly identifies that it is 1370mm wide.

What should I look into, or what checks I need to run to determine what causing the problem?

Any suggestion is welcome.

Max bidirectional print width for the 1304 is about 52.5.
If you run unidirectional you can extend it to about 53.3
Unidirectional printing is pretty slow.

It is possible <Spitting> feature switching ON. You can check it in setup menu.

My suggestion would be to check the printer settings for Side Margin setting. Our is set to 4mm

Menu, Setup> then Side Margin on ours in #4

Thank you Wayne. I checked the official documentation and you are right. I thought that I was printing full width but I must mistaken.

I think that side margin setting is only for the left side. Am I wrong?
