I'm trying to step off that treadmill and today was the first day....no jitters whatsoever. I keep a bottle of Excedrin handy...it has just a tad of caffeine and it's the only thing that will knock out a withdrawl headache.
I've been off it a time or two before, and it really feels great.

i need my nectar of the gods(tupelo honey http://www.floridatupelohoney.com/tupelofacts.cfm) AND MY COFFEE. not together, coffee is best to drink, no sugar. if you can ever get your hands on KONA COFFEE, 100%...........you will be like a drug addict for it. it you cant afford that, this is our everyday coffee.

Well see, now I'm going to have to steal that.
It's awesome to see so much love for good brew lately. A proper cup of coffee is one of those "the old way was better" things that we had lost, along with nice shoes and a classic straight razor shave. I really hope that all the recent love for good coffee helps make others realize that the crap they're drinking at Tim Horton's is just that, crap.
Edit: I have a batch of cold-brew sitting in the fridge right now that's on its fourth day of brewing. Wife's going to be giving it a shot any minute now. Can hardly wait to see the text she'll inevitably send, extolling its virtues.

Chickory?! Huh! Never would have thought. I'm going to give that a try though.
No Sam's here, and to be honest, I'd have a panic attack if I had to enter one anyhow, but we have a great supply of high quality, local roast, that I grind myself. Been doing the french press thing for a while, and started the cold brew last year. Just got an espresso machine for Christmas, which has a bit of a learning curve, but so far I'm impressed.
Sidenote for those that haven't tried cold brew. It makes a concentrate that you dilute with water and/or milk, has the same taste and caffeine kick as a full cup of just coffee, but roughly 1/6 of the acid. The wife loves it because acidity in foods and drink usually destroys her.
