For the same reason I think it's so ridiculous all the real estate and car salespeople put their pictures on their signs, billboards and whatever else. It's about an ego. I know what I look like and I've posted my fotch on here many-a-times, but I don't need to look at it day in and day out. :ROFLMAO:

Trust me, if you had a mug like mine, you wouldn't call it "ego" LOL. When I see what people type, It's nice to put a face to those words. I'm not the greatest with names. It's something I work on but I'm great at remembering a face, so if some day I do meet someone on here who has a photo of themselves, I'll know instantly who I'm dealing with. Plus I feel their is a bit too much anonymity on professional forums like this. I feel like when there is a face and a real name attached to it, the chances of that person's comments being honest are far greater. So that is why I have mine (even if it is an illustration) and use my real name.
