I'm getting that message now. I went in to delete a bunch of pms to make room and it still says it. Just a heads up to the admins, I'd pm you to ask about this, but you wouldn't be able to pm me back. :Big Laugh

You have to check the ones you want to delete or download and then do it to make room.

I did. I deleted a whole page worth (about 50 messages). So I would assume unless something changed on the forum's side. That would open me up so that I could receive 50 more. I thought maybe my subscription was up, but I have a couple months before I need to renew.

I see now it says only 500 are allowed. Somehow I had more then 600 in there. Did the max number of messages change at some point? Not that I mind. It's not a big deal to delete some of those, I probably should have along time ago. Looking back I can't believe I have that many.

I think maybe it's kinda like not getting pulled over until you are driving 10 miles over the limit... makes it seem like 9 was ok... but after your ticket, ya gotta go the limit for a while...

You might just have to log off and then log on again to see the correct number there.

For anyone interested, the .txt files are very convenient back-ups.
I can open it in wordpad & they are sorted by mailbox, so if you create new boxes in your S101 account, the backup .txt files remain sorted, and include sender name & time & date stamps. The code for any formatting or smileys is still there, and displays as originally if ever pasted back into a S101 message.

I have increased the stored PM limit to 1,000 for Premium Subscribers and Merchants. It was never reduced and, to the best of my knowledge, has always been 500.

I wonder if maybe you granted some of us more space when we had the BoD going and it just never got switched back until recently. I don't know. Like I said it's not a huge deal.

No changing of PM limits was ever done. The only change was to allow PMing of more members at a time.

Something was up. Mine just gave me the FULL sign....I had 980 messages....I think three of them were actually worth saving.

I discovered the answer. Joe, Pat and iSign were in special user groups I created a while back and did away with today because they weren't being used. Those groups had a higher limit for whatever reason.
