My SP-540V is not telling me when it's out of ink.

Inks

Do the tabs come out the side of the carts when they are empty?

If you're using Versaworks 4.8 try and Update the firmware. Had the same problem

3rd party carts will usually cause issues with the little "tongue" not sticking out.

What inks and ink delivery system are you using? When did the problem first show up?

I just noticed it a couple weeks ago. I am using roland ink thought about using aother stuff but I don't need any problems. I have not done any updates to my versaworks in some time I have heard bad things about doing updates. Also when I check to see how much ink I have I might have to set it 3 or 4 times for it to pick up the carts.
