We use a collection agency... They have collected on over 90% of the cases we send them and the ones who don't pay get dings on their credit every week. They also are in a jurisdiction where the legal limit to interest is 7.5% so we end up splitting the interest. After 120 days of collections activities with no response or compliance they file for leans on any assets.
Collection agencies work, You need to find one run by lawyers with the experience to get the job done. Our agency has collected over $7,800 for us so far for a measly 20%, my time is worth more then that.
