Need Help hooking up a truevis 540 vg2

Is there anyone that will jump on a phone call and try and help me hook up my truevis vg2 540? I went thru all the posts and i feel i tried everything that has been posted but i cant get versaworks to find the printer. I tried ip address and subnet and pinging the printer and all that. I just feel out of options at this point but at the same time i also feel I'm just overlooking something. Thanks

are you connecting directly to printer or through a router/switch?

Have you tried a different ethernet cable
