Need help. Main board repair I was going to send to Mac media

where is the best place to get a main board repaired ... and if repaired will all my info still be there or do I have to reset everything .. control panel won’t power on .. power board. Seems ok. . And getting power to the machine .. would also like someone that communicates with you .. was going to send to Mac media. But just read a bunch of comments here about no response so now I am nervous
