Need help opening Illustrator .eps

I have an Illustrator .eps file I just received from a customer that was created in a newer version than I have installed.

It's 370 KB in size.

If someone could open it and save it back to an earlier version I'd really appreciate it. I'd need it saved to CS3 or CS2.

I'm not sure of the process here since I can't attach an .eps to this post.


p.s. I'll be gone for an hour-and-a-half on an appointment so for anyone willing to help please don't think I'm ignoring your graciousness.

Make a new Illustrator document, place the file into that document, go to your links panel & Embed the link in your new document.
or, Place the EPS into InDesign, print it to PDF, open the PDF with Illustrator.

But for the heck of it, and with no confidence whatsoever, I tried jfiscus's method and dang if it didn't work! I'd have never expected that.
