Need Help Purchasing new Printer

Hey Guys and Gals,

Currently have an SC-540 PRO II. We've got a few heads that are going to need replacing soon. Rather then do this we've been looking at new printers from our supplier here in canada. All Graphics Supplies.

Would love to pick up a VS-540i. However the prices' are still pretty steep. They do have a used SP-540V and a VP-540. I would like something that's going to print quickly and with ease. The problem with ours now is that I'm doing alot of colour correcting, which takes forever as it's a process of trial and error. I want to be able to avoid this and hit print and not worry about my blue coming out purple (I know this is mostly because of our current head issue). So, what can you guys suggest, I would think the VP is a better of a machine?

Fix what you have. You'll be further ahead. We own a SP540V, and while it prints extremely well it prints slowly.

I guess I'm more concerned over colour rather then speed. I mean I don't mind if I print takes a bit longer if it's the proper colours. How do you find the quality, colour etc..

Vp 540

The VP 540 uses the same print heads as the SC 540 , but two less. Your colors are not going to be much different, same ink, same RIP.
You may want to consider having your monitors calibrated to match the printer
