Would probably help to know what rip you are using.

most manufacturers, including mimaki, tend to have a lot of profiles available via their website.

failing that, most media suppliers make media profiles for their media.

I’m under the assumption you can’t create your own profiles so your best bet is to just download a few online and see how each of them print.

Hi there thanks for your reply,
I am using Rasterlink.
I am using the profile for an adhesive vinyl called polo print gloss by xpres, but their profile for it is not great at all. There is no definition on small txt and black on top of any colour bleeds. They recommend I use a profile called Mactac which is actually good for all my print medias. However it’s only 720 resolution. Also if I block print a dark navy blue colour I get banding, through the to g different profiles I have managed to make the banding less visible. I had a mimaki technician out yesterday who said there are a few colours which are not possible to print to a perfect quality such as dark navy blue. However there must be a profile out there that will print it perfectly??

I used to like all the 3m profiles when I used my mimaki a lot. Try taking a look through theirs.

What pass are you running this on?

assuming you have a perfect nozzle check?

I think mactac off the top of my head is on default pass of 14.

Is there a particular 3M profile you used that you found worked well? And where would I find it.
Sorry I am relatively new to all this.

Thanks
