Need help with a Mac Dermid Colorspan 5460uv

Hi guys I need some technical help with a Mac Dermid Colorspan 5460uv.

I have a friend that brought a second hand unit.
Initially things were looking good. We figured we needed to spend some time aligning and getting the heads working again. It was basically working.

Then things started to go wrong.
The printer would not start. Diagnosed the problem to be the power supply.
I brought a new PC power supply and modified it taking the old adapter connector and grafting it onto the new power supply. (Pretty much what the original power supply was)
Result: Printer working again.
Doing some test printing and looking at what we need to do to get it flying again.

A week later printer would not start again. Found the power on signal to the power supply is missing. Was not sure where the signal came from so pulled it to ground at the power supply to get it going.

Now get message on start up ”The OHS is not connected. New component detection failed.”

Thinking we may have zapped it while trying to get power supply working we ordered a new profiler board.
Installed the new profiler but no change. Still get “The OHS is not connected. New component detection failed.”

Removed all profilers after finding forum threads saying a faulty profiler can stop the profiler board working. No Change.

Found the old connector we grafted onto new power supply had a couple of faulty pins. Replaced the connector with a new one. Again no change but this looks to have resolved the intermittent power on signal problem.

Seeing a recommendation to replace the ribbon cable to the profiler board but not having a replacement I replaced the connectors on the cable. Kept the cable itself as it is a twisted pair cable and I could not source any replacement other than a whole 30 meter roll at some ridiculous price.
No change.

This only leaves the main adapter board that we haven’t replaced. We don’t have a spare and don’t want to buy one without some knowledgeable input.

I don’t have a service manual so is it possible we need to run some BIOS setup routine to get the board working?
Anyone with a copy of the service manual?

When we get the “The OHS is not connected. New component detection failed.” message there is a "Proceed" button displayed but nothing happens when pressing it.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

1st you dont need a service manual to solve your Problem.

All voltages must be ready (Power Supply little one and the Gold Box) inside E-Box !

On the E-box is a discription with all Port/Connectors include voltages. 1st check out if the voltages correct to OHS-Board.

Next Step will be to checkout if any problems with the Port/pins (Datacable)

Last one you need to repair the IO-Board or a new one. Thats it....nothing more nothing less.
