Need some advice for a banner! ️

Hi guys!
I have a project where I need to install banners to fully cover two columns; one is 12 ft tall, and the other is 25 ft tall, both with a 96" diameter. Drilling screws is NOT an option.
I was thinking of creating a bracket using something like a hose clamp, but I’m not sure if they even make them that big. Has anyone tackled something similar? Any recommendations for securing the banners while keeping them tight and smooth? Open to any creative solutions!

Are you trying to wrap the columns with the banners, or mount them between the columns? To wrap them I would make the banner slightly less wide than the circumference of the columns, install grommets, then string bungee cord zig zag through the grommets. You could also possibly use zip ties.

You would use velcro...the sticky kind then put it a strip down the sides. You could hem just the one edge or don't finish it. You could also use banner tape or carpet tape, that would give you a real smooth seam. I think velcro might be more forgiving to work with. Or the zip ties if it's just temporary.

Hi, no is not wrap, the idea is to cover the front view of the column with a banner
Alright, then if we aren't making holes, where are we sourcing all the thoughts and prayers for this project?
Thought really, you could make a pocketed banner, then bend some emt into the curved shape of the face of the column, to act as weight for the bottom and a hanger for the top. If they're indoors, then wind shouldn't be an issue.
Not sure how to secure them aside from tying them up.
Though, they do make extra large pipe clamps like you were imagining, just not to fit a 96" diameter. Speaking of, surely 96" was the distance around the column, not across. That'd be your circumference.

Sew a pole pocket into both vertical sides of the banner with an opening large enough to accommodate both a length of 1/2" PCV conduit AND a series of grommets about 18" apart from each other. The conduit should fit in between the vertical stitch and the edges of the grommets. Make the pole pocket a little larger to make sure the 1/2" conduit fits after the grommets are installed near the edge (you don't want the grommets to block the 1/2" conduit).
Slide the conduit into the pole pocket, then grommet or stitch the top and bottom to keep the 1/2" conduit from sliding out (the conduit will need to be a couple inches shorter than the total height of the banner in order to place the "capturing" top and bottom grommets or stitch.
Place on column and secure with appropriate sized tarp straps going grommet to grommet around the back of the column. The tighter the better.

So you're trying to hang a banner flat in front of the column? If so just bend some all thread to fit around the column and attach the two ends to a piece of unistrut. Your idea of large hose clamps is also decent. You could connect multiple together if you can't find ones big enough. Unistrut could still be used with the hose clamps for the flat hang bar portion.
