Designer / prepress rant...
1. IT'S CALLED A CLIPPING MASK.... covering things you dont like to be in in your artwork with a white box isn't the answer... especially if it extends past the artboard.
2. CONVERT TEXT TO OUTLINES.... There 50 bajillion fonts out there. I don't have the time or resources to find/buy all of the fonts on your system... and opening your artwork in acrobat, creating a watermark, flattening and exporting takes time I could have saved by you clicking ctrl-shift-O...

this kind of crap makes me want to pull my hair out, drink a gallon of moonshine and pee in the backyard while singing the star spangled banner and flip off my neighbors. I freaking swear .. i am self taught why are these simple things so hard for some folks to learn? Especially from ad agencies?

Im gonna start billing these people for this crap, and end up losing their business.

Yeah, at bare minimum, at least have the decency to convert to curves!
I hate when you get something that's a ton of layers with unwelded shapes.

I do love just love finding random boxes hiding parts of stuff.... lol.

I on the other hand usually get just a pdf that's an image (even from Ad Agencies), so I don't have that problem. No, I can't edit it because it's an picture with a gazillion photoshop effects on it. No, it's STILL AN IMAGE FILE, EVEN IF YOU PUT "VECTOR" IN THE FILE NAME ON THE SAME FILE!!!! (I swear, had THREE customers doing this last week, I feel your pain...=)

Just start charging for every change/edit you need to do, you start feel better already and amazinlgy the customers or ad agencies suddently reminds that they DID in fact have that vector logo cleaned up on that disc on the shelf... =)
I think it's just lazyness...
