Needing printable 3M vinyl

I am needing a latex printable, high performance white 3M vinyl comparable to Oracal 751. I know 180cv3 would work, but I don't need air release and it isn't going to be used for wrapping. It seems like most distributors are trying to push the 180, but it seems like a waste of money for general signage and print/cut vehicle graphics.

I'm not sure if it prints well with latex, or how it compares in price to the other series,
but we eco-solvent print on the 3M 50 series white all the time and it works great.
It's a bright white, and it cuts and weeds better than most.

calendared though.

True, but because it's thicker, it blocks out the substrate colors nicely
without having a gray adhesive side.
It's 5 years outdoors vinyl, and when laminated, I would think it would add another couple years.

It's only good for flat surface with no rivets though....

why 3M? If you are using 751, just print on that. I use to print 651/751, really any cut vinyl with my 260, and still do with my 360. If you need 3m, i'd go with electrocut as previously stated.

What profiles do you use for the HP for these materials (651 and 751)? Mind sharing those?

We use the 180c for print/cut all day long here. Never had a problem with it or tried any 3M w/o air release as we stock the 180c for wraps.
180c comes in all different widths so if you don't need a 54" just order a 36" roll for less.
We even stock 15" 180c for our edge here, as customers love applying it and not getting any bubbles.

Not anything special. I just use the generic vinyl that came stock with the printer, I think. Or the stock HP premium vinyl profile. When I print on 651 it is usually a magnet or coro sign and all I really care about is if it is cured. But those seem to work pretty good.

I will give the Electrocut a try. I want to stick with 3M because it is often requested and I run 3M reflective so I normally have the 3M laminate loaded in the laminator. The biggest thing I will be using this for is my fire helmet shields. The air release channels really stand out due to how small and detailed they are, so that's why I prefer a cast vinyl without the air release.

jfiscus- I didn't know the 180 was even available in 15" punched, I was told that it wasn't compatible with the Edge. That's awesome, I'll have to get a roll and try that out!

Huh? Are you using V1? V3 shows no channels, and I do tons of small and large decals. You can not see air channels.

We use IJ35C and really like it! Never had any issues with it!

That's what we use on everyday intermediate stuff. But OP thinks he sees air channels, so air release is out of the question for him. Plus I think he wants a Cast vinyl.

Intermediate is out of the question for what I'm using it for, not necessarily air release. I will try the Electrocut, and I'm also going to get a sample of the 180CV3 and see how it looks.
