Never had to do this, so I don't no what to charge ?

Customer has a (roughly) 8FTx4FT window with full coverage perforated film.

What in the world would I charge him to remove it and clean up the glass ?

3 hours to remove something off of glass?! I could be wrong but I would have to say 30 minutes at the most an hour

It comes off fairly EZ with a wide razor scraper.
They are like $15 @ lowes
If it is laminated you might be able to pull off in one sheet with some heat.

One guy could do it in 30 minutes with removing adhesive.
Charge a hour+ to be safe.

I'd prefer unlaminated. The scraper cuts trhough it like butter.


Bring a broom and don't do it on a windy day. Scraping perf of glass is messy

But, it's probably worth a little more than an hours pay to do it . . .

if it is a customer, not a prospect, I would explain how easy and quick it may be (read comments above) and as a courtesy, would offer to do it on an horly basis, if they set on not doing it them selfs.

Don't forget travel time too. And take your time doing it. Milk them for an entire day if you want.

We charge hourly .

Also use stainless steel blades on glass and keep it wet. Carbon steel can and will scratch glass.

Did two removals of some VERY old toasted perf at 43"x63" (two windows to right of door) and then installed new perf to one of them (far right window) this morning. 1 hour total. I use a 4" sheetrock knife from HD to remove.

Bill hourly. I could be out of there in under 30 minutes. Add in drive time and boom, nice and easy and you're done. Seriously, I took 2 year perf off my window and cleaned it in under FIVE minutes. Super easy job
