Question New epson s40600 owner needs help

just installed my new epson S40600. It seems like machine will not go onto sleep mode. Heaters turn off. But Led screen and the fan on the after heater both stay on. Is this normal? I cand seem to find anything about it. Kind of annoying g having that fan going all the time.

We have a s80600 and it does eventually go into sleep mode on its own, takes about 30 minutes some times.

Yeah it has been a day and a half and fan still running and Led screen still on. Have it set for sleep after 30 minutes.

Ok, so I may have figured it out. For some reason when connected via USB the printer would not go to sleep. I connected via an ethernet cable and now everything seems to be fine.

The USB I think is really only meant for hooking to a service laptop for updates/testing/maintenance. So it probably keeps the printer awake so it doesn't go to sleep mid-update.

whoever installed tis printer should be slapped...USB is for tech and emergency use...they put a funnel between your rip and printer.
