NEW FC8600 noise

Brand new 30' FC-8600 makes a noise a carriage travels across media, almost like a bad bearing...anyone hear of this? Does your carriage travel quietly? I'm pretty pissed that a new cutter needs to be shipped somewhere for support/repair. Half tempted to send it back.

We just got the 130 and it is kind of noisy...gravelly like. I think that might be the way it sounds
