New Flexi User - Text cutting an inch smaller than created

I'm new to Flexi (usually use Illustrator) and I figured it's just easier to create simple text and just cut it straight our of Flexi rather than importing a file, but when I create a 3" line of text, it cuts at 2". When it's a 4" line it cuts at 3" - is it a setting? Or am I forgetting to do something. Does anyone have any ideas?

In production manager check to make sure under size it is at 100%, Other than that I can't think of why it would cut smaller.

try just drawing a square at whatever size and cut it

if shapes cut fine, but text doesn't, you know its not a scaling setting in prod mgr.
