Hello all,
Just found this site and it looks like a gold mine to me! I just purchased a Roland XC540 soljet III and a guardian laminator. Looking to learn and get my feet wet. Basically I have a niche market that I am working with. Of course we will do signs and stuff but want to focus on our sole purpose of why we bought the machine.
Now I need to get reading around here....I got a lot to learn!!

Welcome to the forum. I lived in Crystal Lake and Woodstock as a young married man. Bet it's changed a lot since then. Worked downtown Chicago in the loop for an engineering firm.

We run a Roland printer as well.

I have only been around Crystal Lake for the last 10 years and I can tell you it has changed TREMENDOUSLY in the last 10. Not sure how long you have been gone but it is growing FAST. Right now they are making rt14 Between woodstock and crystal lake a 4 lane. Crystal Lake and Algonquin almost touch each other also.

Yeah, ancient history. Lived there in 1970, newly married. Took the train everyday to work at Monsanto (in the loop). Read the Chicago Sun Times daily (probably out of business by now) on the way. (Northwest Line)

Hah, haven't thought about that in a while.

Well, anyway post up any questions or concerns you have about your new business venture and we'll all try and help.
