Hello all just wanted to introduce myself.

I'm from Oklahoma City, been in the large format printing business for 7 years, and for the last 2 months have been an owner of my own large format printing company.

Currently I'm using an HP Designjet 5000PS with UV ink.

In the past I've used a Mutoh 1624, 1614, 1408 and a Roland 64", all of which are eco-solvent inks. Including Graphtec Plotters and Seal Laminators.

I'm having some problems with my HP at the moment and would like to see if any of you guys have any ideas...

When I turn it on its giving me an error 5106 Reseat on the printhead. I've done the reset, I've replaced all of the printheads, per HP website, and still it gives me the same error. Other than trashing the thing, I have no idea of what to do. Also, HP Tech tells me they can't help me because it's not on their list to help with any longer.

Thanks in advance guys.

Welcome from lawton, OK

:Welcome: to :signs101:

Hard lesson to learn on that head replacement stuff. A good question to put on the forum for HP printers. Could be as simple as a door position sensor. I don't have the codes for reference so, I'm of little help. Good luck!

Hello from Oklahoma!

I have heard from other businesses in the area using HP that their service techs are fickle when a new product rolls out. I will ask around, because I think I know of a tech that has "backwards" compatibility.
