New guy with VS-640 and two serious problems

Hi everyone,

Long time reader, first time poster here at sings101. Got myself a VS-640 a few months ago and I have two problems that nobody so far was able to solve.

Just about to open a thread in the Roland forum in hope that someone will have a solution.
