New Head

I have a Roland SP-300V Its time for a new head
Ive been doing some research on line and found
pricing any where from 575-950 for the new head
I want a Roland head not an aftermarket head
from my research it uses a epson DX4 printhead
All the heads are epson DX4s one place told me
there is one manufacture and that is epson
Is this true? Is there a difference in these heads?

Thank you

epson owns the technology.

and is the only manufacturer of these print heads. Setting up a plant to manufacture Print Heads is insanely expensive so there really is no such thing as a Chinese "knock-off" of an Epson Head... Just shady Chinese resellers of the originals!

Just make sure if you're putting a head originally destined for a water-based Epson in a Solvent/Eco-Solvent Printer that you replace the plastic manifold on top with a solvent resistant one. If you like I can put you in touch with a reputable reseller that provides these Heads converted and ready to go.
