I'm not really a fan of any of those ones you've posted...maybe try going in a cleaner direction? Just because it says hog wild doesn't mean it has to be something off the wall.....try something like this, just an idea.....

You could go many directions with something like this...

Art! Hot and fresh.
I want it to be easily read. Don't think this font will do.

Alrighty, since it looks to be like one of 'those' threads ... I'll cut to the chase since I probably won't respond to this one again.

My first question is .. Did you even put pencil to paper yet and do some sketching on these 'designs'? Just honestly ask yourself that ... I really don't care what the answer is. If the answer is "no" or "not really" you are doing yourself a disservice and wasting our time.

I can see you have skill with the software, but going straight to the software and trying to design out all your ideas from scratch without weeding out the weak **** is like trying to write a novel without any sort of planning as to who the characters are or what you want the overall theme to be of the story. That is called weak sauce. Pretty much everything you posted has been covered with a coat of weak sauce and it shows.

Since I'm being nice here I spent about 10 minutes just to sketch up some lettering ideas and how they could flow ... Hell, I'm already spending more time on this post than I did drawing all that. 25 overall bad ideas might generate 3-5 great mini ideas that when you actually get to computer will come up with a basis for a cohesive and overall good design.

I mean for the love of all that is unholy, I posted a huge logo reference that has lots of sites that show process ... and they ALL start with sketches.

Put pencil to paper, and draw. Doesn't need to be good, just needs to help you edit your thoughts. We can't hold your hand and guide you to your finished design.

I really appreciate your posts. I often jump right to software, but it definitely would be a better idea to start sketching and brainstorming ideas before hopping right in..

Addie, would you please stop ruining everyone else's threads ??

Any while you're at it, stop bringing me into your stoopid fights with other people.

And while you're still at it.... go back and practice for another 100 years or so before you dish out pig crap........

Come on Gino let me see yours then. Come on put up or Shut up. I haven't ever seen you post any sample of anything you have done yourself yet.

I am at least trying to help the OP by posting up some ORIGINAL artwork for him.

What about incorporating a Harley "Hog" type bike in the design.
Giving it some toughness. What was the original intent for the name do you think?
What sets you apart form your competition?

Did not pick my business name bought it and everyone knows it so don't want to change it. Also don't really want to have an image of a hog.

you got stuck with a really bad name for a company as it brings up images in people's minds that don't say professional. it seems wise of you to not have an actual pig in the logo. I did like the fonts Jill used as they weren't serious and that seems to fit the name. what do you do? Hog Wild designs doesn't tell anyone much at all. signs? tee-shirts? design work? in any version of the logo, even with the ones posted by others did I get a sense of what you do.

Wow, the guy was asking for help, not condemnation, lighten up guys!

Design in black and white, if it doesn't work simple, it doesn't work at all. Add colour once you like the shapes and the message is readable at a distance, that is what we do after all.
