Hi, all- I've been in the sign industry for 40+ years, started in Arkansas doing lettering in the Coca Cola distributing plant. Doing the signs that went out to all the Mom & Pop stores that had the familiar white strip/green letters with Coke on each end. Then after my Air Force stint, was discharged in Florida and got a job doing commercial lettering for Moka Signs. After quitting there, got a chance to work for a billboard contractor that taught me the most about signs-Mike Dyer super guy. From there on to Moody Outdoor, National 3M, Whiteco, Lamar, Foster & Kleiser and others until digital billboards became mainstream. Suddenly I was a dinosaur, so now I paint anything-mailboxes, fish mounts, race cars, boats, trucks, lawn mowers, cell covers, water towers, anything that will sit still long enough gets painted. My problem is "old too fast, smart too slow" and too busy living life to worry about tomorrow.
