New Retirement Plan

I have decided on a new retirement plan.

Buy as much Twinkies and any other Hostess products. Wait about a year and sell them all to the highest bidder.

I think it can work.

:Big Laugh

Time to rethink that plan.
Hostess and Bakers Union Agree to Mediation
3:36 p.m. | Updated

Hostess Brands and one of its major unions agreed on Monday to a mediation session, in a last-ditch effort to avoid winding down the bankrupt maker of Twinkies and Wonder bread.

The company and the union agreed to mediation at the behest of the judge overseeing Hostess’s Chapter 11 case, Robert D. Drain of the Federal Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. The talks may also include representatives of the Teamsters union and the company’s lenders.

Should the talks collapse, lawyers for Hostess will be back in court on Wednesday morning to seek approval of a close-out plan.

On Friday, Hostess announced plans to liquidate and sell its brands, a week after the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers International Union went on strike. The company said that the work stoppage had caused irreversible damage that made trying to reorganize its finances impossible.

I liked one of the lines I saw in one of the stories about this. It said "we ate all those Twinkies for nothing?" :Big Laugh
