New Store Sign, Chrome?

Long story short, when I started the business I rented an office space with a guy, he is no longer here. I currently have my sign and his sign above the store front, both 3x5 I am removing his and making myself a new one. Now it is a 3x5 with blue background, name, website, phone...crap I don't need. Going to make a new larger sign with the logo only.

I currently have black T-Shirts for the warmer months we wear for inside the shop with my logo. The only difference is it doesn't have the "A little color..." It is the name in silver and the CMY for the other part. I have actually removed the "Little Color..." off of everything, just waiting to use the rest of my cards up.

Anyways, I am thinking an all black sign like the shirt, the bright CMY colors and either silver or chrome. Just wondering opinions on chrome? I am in a small town, located downtown with 2 lane road. Farthest a car will see my sign is 40 feet or so. Just curious from experience with chrome that you may have with signage.

This was taught to me by an incredible sign painter many many years ago:

"Never put chrome on dark colors. Chrome is a mirror and mirrors only reflect dark". - M. Wauters
