the best advice you have been given IMHO of course, is to go work at a sign shop. there is much more to learn than how to cut vinyl MUCH MORE. yes I am sure it looks easy, just remember you were given this advice when you are pullingyour hair out to meet a deadline or are losing money hand over fist because you jumped into a business that you don't have the experience to run. Oh wait that's why we're here.

Do your homework before jumping in head first.
There's a wealth of information regarding many subjects on this site. Have you tried a search?

3 quick tips:

- Respect the trade, Be competitive but not a cut-throat.
- Don't buy Avery brand Vinyl...
- Purchase a name brand vinyl cutter.
