newbie with used sp-300 and coloripv2.2

I have just purchased a used sp-300 with colorip and cant seem to get my computer to recognize the printer....any ideas?

The SP300 will not appear as a standard printer, after installing the driver a USB-Port will be added which you can set up in Colorip. If the computer will not ask for a driver if the printer is connected, I would check the USB-Port and Cable.
