Ok guys just replace the ink on the HP Scitex FB500 but now its giving me error with the new magenta ink.

I just tried to install a new box of magenta, and it had no chip! grrrr.

uh oh, you might have a clog in the system. sorry, this is out of my realm. Your going to need a tech, unless you can get in there your self.

check the line from your box to your printer and see if theres a kink... We had this happen once when the operator twisted the plastic line and it kinked and caused a vacuum so no ink could be sucked up. We just de-kinked it the best we could and it seemed to fix itself

Sounds weird but did you a total restart of the machine ? Seperate it from power, wait 10 minutes, reconnect.
Which error number / action do you have ?

The magenta heads are empty mhh...did you try to:

0) clean the magenta colour chip and check if its damaged
1) clean magenta head with the air purge
2) clean the heads manually with lint free wipes and printhead flush (or IPA)
3) go to the color menu and "empty the magenta head" and after that "fill the magenta head again" (if necessary repeat the process)
4) restart the scitex (you have to unplug the main plug; under the belt )and error should be gone
5) air purge all heads again
6) print a test pattern


The Door switched not connected isn't a problem; if the connector is plugged out you can reset it.
The Error "Carriage did not move home.." is a problem...did you tried to configure your printer ? Maybe you have to calibrate..there are test for this in the service-menu.
