No ink on Test Draw/Print

Hi all,

My partner and I have recently purchased a CJV30-60, but the capping station was bad, and we have reason to believe that it has sat dry for a few days. When we received the printer last week, we had poor test prints, with only a few nozzles out, but the amount of dried ink around the head suggested a new capping station was needed...

If the head drys up, will it clog it from further use?
We've done multiple head cleaning cycles, multiple nozzle washes, and not one bit of ink is firing through the head. No ink is coming through during cleaning sessions too - the capping station is literally brand new looking other than the smallest amount of blue ink.

Ink lines appear full, with no air bubbles, no errors on the display, etc. The cleaning pump/line appears to pull the cleaning fluid properly. Tried Fill ink, with all dampers FULL, and yet still no ink coming through!

Any advise?
Thanks
Whitney

DIY Printer Fixing Guide
When you replaced the cap top, did you make sure to put the blue stopper on the 3rd hole on the bottom of the cap? If not, that is the problem. If it is on there then...

Check the bottom of the print head to make sure there isn't a bunch of dried up ink preventing the cap from making a good seal. Even a small fiber from banner material can break the seal. Clean it with a swab and cleaning solution if needed but avoid scrubbing the nozzle area. Just clean the part where the ink build up is. Also, wet the cap top with cleaning solution to help make the initial seal. Make sure the head is in low height mode. If all that doesn't work, you may need a new pump, the head is clogged really really bad and may need to be manually flushed, and/or the cap is not lining up with the head properly.
