No magenta ink after new cartridge installed

Roland machine beeped. Out of magenta. Replace cartridge and go on about my work. Look over 5 minutes later and the machine is not printing magenta.

Shut everthing down. Checked cartridge again, seems fine. Tried pulling ink through rubber lines where they "Y" off as I've done before.

Twenty pulls on the syringe and no ink. Test print shows all colors printing except magenta.

Any ideas?

Here's a follow up. Talked to a Roland Tech. They're sending out some caps for the ink station. We sort of deduced that as the culprit after some discussion.

The parts should arrive tomorrow. I'll try and post the outcome for anyone that may be interested or have a similar problem.
