Noisy print

Hi all,

Since the new installation of our Mimaki TXF-300 printer, I am not satisfied with the #printing result. I have a lot of #noise about #gradients but also about certain colors. I tried the printer in unidirectional mode but the result is not much different except for a slight improvement.
See the image of my test. Do you have a solution to this problem. IMG_0460.png

DIY Printer Fixing Guide
Was it installed by a dealer/tech or self install? A lot of these models were sold by a company that didn't do the install is why I ask. It looks like the head alignments might need to be dialed in better. I would also try raising the heat settings, make sure you're in low head height mode, and try a couple other color profiles to see if they do any better. More profiles can be downloaded here.

Also, environment is important with these DTF machines. Ideally you should be within 20c to 25c ambient temperature for best quality.

Hi,

The printer was installed by a technician qualified by Mimaki. The company that sells us the machines are the only authorized sellers in Canada. I have had Mimaki printers for almost 20 years and I do not have this problem with other machines that do sublimation or Eco-Sol solvent printing. Obviously, it is not the same technology as DTF. I will take your advice and try other profiles to see if there is a difference. Thank you for your advice.
