I had a thread a few days ago about non LED gas pricing signs. A few of you had ideas of what I was describing, but basically it is rotating numbers in a cabinet with clear plex protecting the numbers.
They are on a canopy about 30 feet in the air. I talked to a lady at our local Wal Mart gas station and she said the cabinets are satellite controlled from Arkansas (that's kind of scary). The home office punches in the number and the numbers in the cabinet rotate.
When the price changes the numbers rotate to change. Any idea of where / who would provide something like that? Maybe not controlled by a satellite but some kind of infrared signal. (The lady thinks they came from Milwaukee, but I don't know anything more than that.)
Thanks in advance. (Our city and county have banned all LED signs, including gas signs, so that is why I'm trying so hard to figure this out.)
