Not your everyday highway sign!

I've always been amused by this sign every time I pass it. Decided yesterday to stop and take a picture of it on the way back from the east coast of Florida.

You have to wonder if Oregon has any big foot crossing signs?

Saw one once when I lived in Orlando. A couple times on TV. Looked kinda like a scrawny cougar.

Link to Florida panther info.

Is not the road between Everglades City, Tamiami Trail and 75.

Reminds me of an old girlfriend, they should have had warning signs out for her too.:ROFLMAO:

Not my photo but one of my personal favorites I saw in San Diego near the border.... and another someone emailed me sometime back. :thumb: I cannot help but read the second one as bicycle riding dogs.

It was on highway 60 that runs from Tampa straight across to Vero Beach. I have in fact seen one in the wild. The first time I was just a kid and heading to Titusville, FL. to go fishing and saw a pure black panther run across the highway into the woods. About the only place you can find them now is in the Everglades National Park.

We dont have panthers here in Arizona. At least I dont think we do. But we do have mountain lions. Best keep an eye out for these kitties when you are out and about. Here is a pic of a buddy of mine holding one he got awhile back. Thats a big fircken cat. Imagine that stalking you.

No Big Foot signs, just watch for deer signs, when you can see them it's not a problem, many of biker friends have been taken out by a deer on our beautiful twisty mountain roads out here in Cali.

Couple years back a group of us were riding some twisty canyon roads over near the coast and the lead rider was pounced on by a little bobcat, missed the rider and cought the tail of the bike, knocked the little guy silly for a moment then he jumped up and darted off back into the woods.

my sister and i had planned a long walk in a remote area. we'd gone less than a half mile when we saw sign that explained what to do if you met up with a cougar. it said something about making yourself look big. we're both 5'2" ...i think i heard a cougar licking his chops as we read the sign. we got a pretty good workout in the run back to the car.
