Wife and I went last year. We drove the entire length since we stayed at the very southern end of the chain in Hatteras. I only recall seeing one sign shop on the islands and it did not look open but we did not really explore all areas of each of the little towns like Avon, Buxton, etc... so there might very well be a shop or two.

Sign shops

Saw some print shops, been here 10 times. My wife heard an advertisement on the radio but missed the name.

Just hoping to see a fellow 101er...........
