Hi Guys

I'm a long time reader on this forum but this maybe my first post, anyway, Hi to everyone from a sunny UK!

Just interested in knowing if anyone is running a newish oce arizona flatbed from caldera rip?

I'm looking at adding one to our print room and we currently use caldera to run al our printers.

Here in the Uk the oce comes packaged with onyx thrive.

It's not exactly "newish", but we use an Oce 250GT with "Productionserver 6". The software sucks pretty bad...But the printer sucks even more.

If you are going to get one, I highly HIGHLY suggest you get it under a service contract. Seriously, no matter how expensive it looks...It will always be cheaper than fixing your Oce!

Good luck!

Thanks David. I've always liked the security of a service contract

No problem. By all means, assess your options. The newer Oce machines may well be better...But we've been told by multiple people (including the service techs that have been out to our premises to service our 250GT 18 times over) that the Oce machines are reliable work horses. We either have a lemon or they are deluded, haha.

We spend 5K a year on a service contract and have had upwards of 30K worth in components replaced. To give you an idea of Oce's price list, a 500W no name brand ATX power supply that runs the computer under the hood will set you back $1050.00. I could walk down to my local electronics shop and pick one up for $50.00 or a reliable name brand for $70.00

Arizona with Caldera RIP.

Fujifilm sells Acuity Advance Select (it's the same printer) and Caldera should be available there. For sure Caldera's driver for Acuity exists and works fine.
