odd banding problem with JV3-250sp

hello everyone and thank you for taking time out of your busy days to listen, and help with my problem.

So let me dive right in. Older JV3, has been running like a champ for 5 or so years now, but recently has developed an odd banding issue. it will print just fine for 20" or so then will start to give me 1" bands of lighter print, alternating back to regular good print, then light again.

I will try to get pictures up here soon as i can get a minute away from the 20 other fires that need put out. again thank you all for your time.

is it in bidi mode (ie when printing towards head it is starving for ink, but when printing away from head it isn't) or is this uni

sounds like ink starvation (bad dampers)

is it universally across all the colors? have you moved the printer and it is too high one side. was it gradual or did it show up immediately? did you just load a new batch of inks?

the printer when heading back and forth across the platen the ink line is being bent and straightened with each pass. basically tilting the ink lines uphill and downhill. this causes fluctuating pressures inside the lines. if the ink is too viscous (new batch colder temps), clogged dampers, one side of the printer too high you will throw off the delicate balance of ink inside the line.

get a pic of the issue please!

same odd banding problems

hey guys, i am having some weird odd banding issues also. When i do a test draw, all seems fine, then i have a cmyk test block setup to print, and only the cyan has the banding in it. when i print a full job, covering about 50"+ of the width the banding will start right away and then fade out for the last 25 to 20" of the printing width. i don't get why there would be banding at the begining of the print but not at the end on the same line? i have tried every different cleaing and wash imaginable on the printer...still no luck. i could post some pics of that would help?
