Odd Question: pre-punched rolls

I need to pick up a roll of reflective for a small job and the 15" rolls only come perfed. How much material do I lose to the sprocket holes? The piece I'm printing is exactly 15" but I can hide the holes in the frame if they're not too far in.

half an inch on each side of the roll. And most times it's not that there are just holes; they've cut off the vinyl around those holes.

All of the 3M 15" reflective rolls we have used were 13 7/8" to the edges of the vinyl (9/16" stripped away from each edge)
