Omega Composer - can't select objects

I've started to have some of my files open with everthing as unselectable.
NOTHING I do can get any of the objects to select.
The objects are NOT locked. The layer is not locked.

I have to open a new file and import the "Locked" file, then all is good, and I just save the new file.

I did move to another work station, opened the same file and nothing was wrong.
Another designer shares THIS work station and says he has not experienced this problem.

I must be doing something I'm not aware of???


Anyone got an idea?

When you say "another user uses the computer" are there two different logins, or the same one?

Can the other user open the same file and select objects?

What version of software?

My partner in crime ask the following:

Have him send one of the files he’s had trouble with.

I know he says nothing helps but exactly how does he try to select?

Has he tried all the different ways to select things in the Select menu?
Does he use the menu or accelerators?
Can he double-click when in the color pointer to get to the Fill/Stroke box?
If he has text, can he double-click to get to the Enter/Edit Text dalog?
Can he enter text with TOWS then do some TOWS selections like click and drag to select some characters or double-click to select a word or triple click to select the whole text block?

That will keep you busy.

Nothing would allow me to select, nothing! (I can get the objects to the plot manager, via "Output all".
It did it to me today. when I imported another file, my current file had everything in become unselectable, except what I just imported.
Undo the import and all is well with my original file.

I went into options a looked around (thought maybe my fat fingers were setting objects as templates (had an error tring to sent my file to a paper printer, it said something about templates).
I clicked here and there looking for a fix. May have it fixed?
Tried to recreate the problem with importing, seems to be working now?

What could I have be doing to cause my objects to become templates (If that was my problem?)

Tempaltes are only for images, not vectors.

That's what I thought.
So any ideas on the problem I was having?

I do have a seperate log in on this work station.
If I get the same problem I'll pass the file along to you. ( e-mail to...?)
That might be the best way to see or not what's going on.
(I was going to attach a .plt file to my original post, but I couldn't figure out how. The attachment process didn't recognize the .plt format.

I did say that when I opened up the same file on a different workstation, I did NOT have the problem.
