Onyx 22 / Thrive wont auto rotate when nesting?

Well that's disappointing to hear. My Advantage subscription runs out next week and I was planning on upgrading.

ONYXtechtips if we upgrade to v24 and then our Advantage subscription runs out, can we still go back to v22?

Ask for the license update already if you haven't. Don't let it slide too late.
The installation won't touch your 22 and you can always switch back.

And it's not like you must use the auto rotation.

You kind of do, because the system now RIPs 3 times no matter which option you choose. I have yet to find a way to turn off the extra ripping.

I just tested with couple files with HP driver and I didn't get triple ripping at any point. Could be some difference with your driver.
Seems as fast as V22 and even the rotate seems pretty quick (doesn't RIP again if I change the setting).

Oh yeah maybe it has to do with the profile resolution being non-square. HP seems to use square resolutions 300x300, 600x600, 1200x1200 etc. so it's probably working for me just like it already worked in V22.

Yes, most other printers use non-square resolutions... 300x600, 450x600, 600x900x 600x1200, etc.

I can answer that, yes you can.

There are other benefits to 24 that make up for it, its just frustrating with the one step forward two steps back in software.

Cool, thanks. Downloaded v24 today, backed everything up & archived, tried to update and now have to upgrade my physical key. Hopefully they don't stall it enough so I can't update before Advantage runs out....
