The shop has been a little cold lately where I store the vinyl on a hanging rack. I cut some placards for some trucks today and my vinyl seems brittle and thin. These are newer rolls of vinyl but I have never seen this before. Is it the temperature or a vinyl problem?

temperature....if you absolutely have to cut in that cold of weather, store the rolls inside where it's warmer, bring them out to cut, and bring the roll back inside to weed and mask....it'll be MUCH easier.

I'll let the far north folk chime in, but I have seen some vinyl snap when stretched while cold.

Get a warmer shop. Temp for sure. Try cutting cold refelctive, it shatters like glass.
