Oracal Vinyl 651 or 751 - do I need to Laminate Colored Vinyl?

Most of the time I just do small decals and lettering for car windows. I am going to do a larger area on side of car. It is going to be all black so I dont have to print it. I was going to use oracle 651 or 751. I know the debate on which is better.

My question however is do I need to laminate this already colored vinyl? I understand the need to laminate printed stuff but what about the colored?

nope use 2 mil cast

Thanks - was kinda hoping that. I don't have a laminator and just one more thing that can go wrong
