Hi out there, when the inks pass there expiry date how does the machine behave? Will it switch on? Will the UV lamps work? Will pumps work? heaters? Or will it just not print anything not even a nozzle test? I have a UJV160 with out of date inks in it, switches on but doesn't want to do a lot.

At school we have a Roland UV. Inks were expired by almost a year. It would print for a bit then stop laying down color. Not much success recovering the heads. Tech came in an replaced a couple heads after flushing the system.
He said expired inks start to self destruct after a while. Supposedly they crystallize or something to that effect.(can't remember exactly how it was explained)
