Point taken and you can believe I'll be looking into everything you said. We don't appreciate guys throwin' up signs they made in their garage in the middle of the night without permits and don't wish to grouped in with them.

Respectfully~

Stacey, you should have shed some light on the contractors license thing too (you're in FL) along with your vendor recommendation.

"We don't appreciate guys throwin' up signs they made in their garage in the middle of the night" Hey, now that has a odd twist of humor in it I can relate too

ES - A "specialty contractor" means a contractor whose scope of practice is limited to a specific segment of electrical or alarm system contracting, including, but not limited to: elevator specialist (class code 066), utility line electrical specialist (class code 068), low voltage system specialist (class code 069), residential electrical contracting (class code 043), maintenance of electrical fixtures (class code 065), and fabrication, erection, installation, and maintenance of electrical advertising signs (class code 067).

In FL. contracting for the fabrication and installation of electric signs requires the ES-67.

That's interesting...so does that apply to the regular building trade there too? If you are a licensed carpenter in FL you can't sell a remodel that includes subbing the electrical to a licensed electrician?

Well specialty licenses to specialty licenses from my understanding are tricky.

If you have a general contractors license (top tog), then you are on top and can sub smaller license holders such as electricians, roofers, plummers, sign guys for jobs. Or since you have a General, you can do all those sub cats your self. Being a carpenter you most likely would have a general.
