Wondering if anyone has any tips/ideas on how/if unlaminated view thru vinyl should be overlapped for seams? I have some large windows to cover and I'm wondering how water will act on the overlapped sections since I'm sure the holes won't line up 100%. Is it better to leave the overlap or trim it flush? Any help is appreciated.

Don't overlap, treat it like wallpaper and butt seam. Overlap 1 or so inch then cut down the center and peel excess away.
What 2CT said. Just butt seem it. The overlap will look bad.
