overprinting, what makes the best prints on clear?

Hey guys, I know versaworks has a overprint option and i was wondering what the best settings were for decent prints on clear laminate.

I have a SP300i that can't print white but for small clear labels i wanted to figure out what settings would work best. I don't have a request for these but it would be nice to know how to do this if i ever needed to.

I loaded in some lamiante and hit overprint in VW to 1 pass using standard quality and the print was very blotchy, grainy and not as smooth of a finish. Is this because i am printing on laminate and not clear printable vinyl?

Thanks!

I would say so. My Roland overprints great on backlit or adhesive backlit materials. I also overprint once on all perfs.
Lam always prints blotchy. Stick to clear vinyl.
