Interesting!Looks like they also make photo polymer cliches. I have to believe that would be a lot more economical.
Anyway, there's a few options out there.
I'd be willing to bet good money that you could use photo resist and a sandblast cabinet with very fine abrasive to etch one. Heck, you might be able to etch a glass cliche.

I am in talks woth Inkcups and i was told that my 80w CO2 laser could make the plates.Anyone into pad printing here??

we were doing quite a bit of it then in our area it died down. I can order a lot of the stuff needed now through ASI and get it cheaper than what I could produce it for.U just got out of pad printing? Why? Just curious.

well your a manufacturer so good try at the "we now use" line. You still have to make a plate to go on your machine.20W. I have tried using a laser engraving machine,Now we will use a fully automatic pad printing machines
